Walnut Meat

Primarily produced in the Chinese provinces of Xinjiang, Hebei, Shanxi.

Mostly are broken, irregular lumps, wrinkled grooves, and uneven sizes. Intact one is sub-spherical. Seed coat is pale yellow or yellowish-brown, membranous, with dark brown vascular bundle lines; cotyledons are white. Brittle and oily texture. faint odor; sweet taste; seed coat tastes astringent and slightly bitter.

Superior medicinal material is yellow, large, full, and oily.

Sweet; warm.

Supplements the kidney, warms the lung, moistens the intestines. Apply to deficiency of kidney yang, soreness and weakness of waist and knees, impotence, emissions, constipation induced by dryness of the intestine.
