Macroscopic FeaturesMostly are broken, irregular lumps, wrinkled grooves, and uneven sizes. Intact one is sub-spherical. Seed coat is pale yellow or yellowish-brown, membranous, with dark brown vascular bundle lines; cotyledons are white. Brittle and oily texture. faint odor; sweet taste; seed coat tastes astringent and slightly bitter.
Quality RequirementsSuperior medicinal material is yellow, large, full, and oily.
