Rosewood Heart Wood

Primarily produced in the Chinese provinces of Guangxi, Guangdong, Fujian, Hainan.

Sub-cylindrical or irregular lumps. Externally purple-red or reddish-brown, cut surface has dense grains. Hard texture, oily; slightly aromatic odor; slightly bitter taste.

Superior medicinal material has firm texture, oily, aromatic odor, purple-red color.

Acrid; warm

Moves qi, invigorates blood, stops pain, stops bleeding. Apply to abdominal pain, liver-depressed hypochondrium pain, prickly pain due to thoracic obstruction, and injuries from falls, traumatic hemorrhage.
