Mexican Frangipani Flower

Primarily produced in the Chinese provinces of Yunnan, Guangdong, Fujian, Hainan, and Taiwan.

Dried flower, yellowish-brown to brown, wrinkled, corolla mainly has 5 lobes, inverse egg-shape, arranged in a spiral shape, about 3cm long, about 1.5cm wide; lower portion comes together to form a thin tube, about 1.5cm long. 5 stamens hidden inside, with very short filament; sometimes can see small oval-like ovary. Aromatic odor; clear and slightly bitter taste.

Superior medicinal material is clean, dry, yellowish-brown, with potent aroma.

Sweet; neutral

Clears heat, resolves summerheat, clears intestines, stops diarrhea, stops coughing, resolves phlegm. Apply to sunstroke, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and cough.
