Macroscopic Features
Irregular rolled pieces, about 2mm thick. Externally yellow, yellowish-green or yellowish-brown, thin and transparent, with obvious strips of wrinkles. Brittle texture, easily broken, fractured surface is horn-like and lustrous. faintly fishy odor; slightly bitter taste.

Functions
Promotes the stomach, digests food, astringes essence, stops spermatorrhea. Apply to indigestion, vomiting and diarrhea, malnutrition and indigestion syndrome in children, enuresis, spermatorrhea.
Processed Form

Origin
The dried inner lining of the gizzard of Gallus gallus domesticus Brisson.(Phasianidae). After killing the chicken, the gizzard is removed and the inner lining is scraped out and collected washed clean and dried.
