Macroscopic Features

Rod-shaped, top is thick and bottom is thin, slightly curved, 2~3cm long, upper diameter is 3mm, lower diameter is 1.5mm; externally yellowish-white or greenish-white, densely coved short and soft hairs. Occasionally one can see leaf-like bracts, calyx is green with 5 lobes at the tip, lobes have hairs, about 2mm long, open flower has tubular corolla, with lip-shaped tip; 5 stamens attached on the tubular wall, yellow; one pistil, ovary lacks hairs; clear fresh aromatic odor; bland, slightly bitter taste.
