Feather Cockscomb Seed

Primarily produced in the Chinese provinces of Sichuan, Jiangsu, Hunan, Hubei, Guangdong, Guangxi.

Flat round shape, few are round. Externally black or reddish-black. Shiny, center is slightly bulging, sides have hilum at slightly indented position, seed coat is thin and brittle. faint odor, tasteless.

Superior medicinal material is large, black and shiny.

Bitter, slightly cold.

Clears liver, drains fire, brightens eyes, eliminates eye screen. Apply to liver heat with dry mouth, conjunctival congestion, blurred vision, dizziness due to liver fire.
