Production Regions
Primarily produced in the Chinese provinces of Guizhou, Sichuan.
Macroscopic Features
Irregular flat spherical or conical shape, externally yellowish-brown to brown. About 0.7~1.5cm tall, 0.5~1cm diameter. base is round and indented, with root scars, apex is suddenly pointed, one side has longitudinal groove from the base towards apex. Externally yellowish-white, smooth. Hard texture, slightly horn-like, horizontal cut surface is yellowish-white, powdery. faint odor, tasteless, with sticky taste.

Superior medicinal material is white, even sized, and full.

Sweet, slightly acrid, cool, little toxic.
Functions
Clears heat, resolves toxin, resolves phlegm, disperses stasis. Apply to throat swelling pain, scrofula, abscess, swelling sore, postpartum stasis.
