Production Regions
Primarily produced in the Chinese provinces of Guangxi, Sichuan, Guizhou.
Macroscopic Features
Long fusiform shape, middle is fat and full, both ends are gradually thin and blunt, 6~20cm long, middle diameter is 0.5~2cm. Externally yellowish-white or pale yellowish-brown, oily and translucent, sometimes has thin longitudinal wrinkles or grooves, occasionally has faint yellowish-brown outer skin. Completely dried pieces are firm and brittle, incompletely dried pieces are soft, with sticky texture, waxy fractured surface, yellowish-white, and translucent, center has oblique thin woody core. faint odor, sweet and slightly bitter taste.
