Henbane Seed

Primarily produced in the Chinese provinces of Henan, Hebei, Liaoning.

Flat sub-kidney shape or oval shape, about 1mm diameter. Externally brownish-yellow or grayish-yellow, with dense reticular striations, slightly pointed end has spotted hilum. Fractured surface is grayish-white, oily, with endosperm, embryo is slightly curved. faint odor, slightly acrid taste.

Superior medicinal material is full, with a consistent granular shape.

Bitter, acrid, warm, very toxic

Spasmolysis, relieves pain, calms spirit, relieves panting. Apply to stomach cramps and pain, panting and cough, convulsion.
