Tabasheer

Primarily produced in the Chinese provinces of Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan.

Irregular flake-like or granular shape, uneven size. Externally grayish-blue, grayish-yellow or grayish-white, sometimes white, translucent, slightly lustrous, light in weight, hard and brittle texture, easily broken, strongly absorbs moisture. faint odor, bland taste.

Superior medicinal material is large, grayish-white, with light and hard texture, strong absorption of moisture.

Sweet, cold.

Clears heat, sweeps phlegm, cools heart, calms fright. Apply to coma due to heat, stroke and phlegm stasis, infantile convulsion with heat phlegm, spasm, night cry.
