Coralhead Plant Seed

Primarily produced in the Chinese provinces of Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, Yunnan.

Elliptical, occasionally sub-spherical shape, long diameter is 5~7mm, short diameter is 4~5mm, externally red, hilum is white oval, located at one end of ventral side, surrounding is black, about 1/4-1/3 area of surface, raphe is located at one end of hilum, slightly raised straight line. Seed coat is hard, hard to break, 2 cotyledons and radicle inside, all pale yellow, grass-like odor, astringent taste.

Superior medicinal material is large, red head, black bottom, colorful, round kernels, full.

Acrid, bitter, neutral, little toxic

Clears heat, resolves toxin, relives vomiting, kills worms. Externally apply to tinea and ulcer, abscess and sore, eczema.
