Wild Dendranthema Flower

Primarily produced in the Chinese provinces of Anhui, Jiangsu, Jiangxi.

Sub-spherical, 0.3~1cm diameter, brownish-yellow. Involucres formed by 4~5 layers of bracts. One whorl of ligulate flowers, yellow, wrinkled; numerous tubular flowers, dark yellow. Light in weight. Aromatic odor, bitter taste.

Superior medicinal material is yellow, intact, aromatic.

Bitter, acrid, slightly cold.

Clears heat, resolves toxin, eliminates swelling. Inhibition of Staphylococcus aureus, bacillus, Streptococcus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Dysentery bacillus, influenza virus.
