Production RegionsPrimarily produced in the Chinese provinces of Sichuan, Jiangsu, Hubei, Guangxi.
Macroscopic FeaturesOften wrinkled or broken, intact leaves are fan-shaped, 3~12cm long, 5~15cm wide. Yellowish-green or pale brownish-yellow, upper border of the leaves has irregular undulations and curves, sometimes indented in the center, when deep the indentation can run 4/5 of the length of leaf. Bifurcate shape, parallel intricate leaf veins, thin and dense. Smooth and without hairs, easily torn longitudinally. Leaf base is wedge-like, leaf stem is 2~8cm long. Light in weight. faint odor, slightly bitter taste.
