Rice - grain Sprout

Produced throughout the rice-producing regions of China.

Flat long elliptical with pointy ends, 7~9mm long, about 3mm diameter. Outer shell is yellow with white thin hairs, with 5 veins. One end has 2 white striped lodicules, 2~3mm long, 1~3 rootlets grown out from inner side one lodicule is 0.5~1.2cm long. Hard texture; fractured surface is white, powdery. faint odor; tasteless.

Superior medicinal material is dry, full, even-sized, yellow without foreign matter.

Sweet; warm

Disperses food, harmonized the center, fortifies the spleen, opens the stomach. Apply to accumulation of food in the stomach and intestine due to indigestion, abdominal distention and foul breath, weakness of the spleen and stomach, loss of hunger and anorexia. Parched rice grain sprouts for promoting digestion, loss of hunger and anorexia. Scorched rice grain sprout to dissipate dyspeptic disease. Used for dyspeptic disease.
