Macroscopic Features
Rectangular pieces, square pieces, hard and brittle texture, no oil holes, stoma or obvious knife marks. Externally smooth and lustrous, fractured surface is brown and translucent when observed under light, decoction pieces' surface is yellow and translucent amber-like, lustrous black and laquer-like. faint odor; slightly sweet taste.
